The senseFly eBee X is our flagship fixed-wing mapping and surveying drone (UAV). It is lightweight, hand-launched and helps surveyors and GIS professionals collect important aerial mapping data safely and efficiently via a suite of purpose-built mapping cameras. The raw aerial data collected from the drone can be used to create stunning high-resolution orthomosaics or it can be processed with photogrammetry software, such as Pix4Dmapper, to create topographic maps, including DSMs, DEMs, 3D point clouds and more. The topographic data can be used to gain critical project insights and shared across teams for better decision-making. eBee X is also available with RTK or PPK for greater positional accuracy.

Mapping Camera

The senseFly S.O.D.A. 3D mapping camera is a unique innovation – a professional drone photogrammetry camera that changes orientation during flight to capture three images (2 oblique, 1 nadir) every time, instead of just one, for a much wider field of view. It is optimised for quick, robust image processing with Pix4Dmapper.

The gravity dam in Salanfe, Switzerland has a storage capacity of 40 million cubic metres. It is 52m high, 40 m wide at the base, with a 608 m top length. This dataset was collected with an eBee X carrying a senseFly S.O.D.A. 3D camera.

This gravel quarry in Johnson, Vermont (USA) was surveyed with an eBee X drone carrying a senseFly Aeria X camera. The flight height was planned at 122 m (400ft) AED at an estimated GSD of 2.54cm/pix (1 inch). However, because of the depth of the quarry, the final GSD was 3.59 cm (1.41 in)/pixel.

The SenseFly Duet T is a rugged dual RGB/thermal mapping camera rig. Use it to create geo-accurate thermal maps and digital surface models quickly and easily.

This dataset of a light industrial estate in Switzerland was collected by an eBee X fixed-wing drone carrying a senseFly Duet T thermal mapping camera. The images were processed using Pix4D software. The point cloud and DSM outputs are based on the camera’s RGB images. The thermal data meanwhile were projected to generate the thermal 3D mesh and temperature index map.

The RedEdge-MX is a rugged and precise multispectral camera for advanced agricultural analysis. This high-performance tool captures both the spectral bands required for crop health indices (green, red, red edge and near-infrared), a blue band for deeper insights into specific issues, plus composite RGB imagery.

This dataset of mixed-use agricultural fields was collected in Assens, Switzerland during winter 2018/2019. The 220 ha (544ac) site was mapped with a single 75-minute senseFly eBee X drone flight (with the platform’s Endurance Extension activated) and the drone was carrying a MicaSense RedEdge-MX multispectral camera.
