In recent years FPV drones have exploded in popularity, be it for cinematic filming, racing or just as a hobby – it has never been a better time to get involved. Our introduction to FPV course will give you a valuable theoretical and practical foundation in an area of drone operations which has previously had a high barrier to entry. The course aims to cover the basics and get you in the air as fast as possible in a safe and controlled manner. We start by explaining typical drones used in FPV, componentry and use cases and build upon fundamentals taught in the classroom until you can successfully complete your first FPV flight.
We believe that in order to learn successfully you need as much time as possible to familiarise yourself with the control system and the quadcopter you are flying. That is why we have created an ideal FPV equipment set up specifically designed for beginners and limited spaces on the course – to give you the best chance to succeed.
We undertake all our practical training using lightweight, indoor-friendly, drones so we can fly regardless of the weather and maximise training time. The style of drone used, although lightweight, are fully capable of capturing cinematic footage and are go to “workhorses” for many FPV professionals.
Our one-day course will cover the following:
- Practical and theoretical demonstrations
- A thorough overview of all FPV equipment
- A full set of FPV equipment to use for the day including goggles, controller and drone
- Basic maintenance
- Practical exercises using our training facility.
- Minimum Age 16 years old unless accompanied by an adult
What you need to bring:
- Nothing! Everything will be provided on the course – however there may be demonstrations outside and as such suitable footwear and clothing should be worn
Our course cost includes lunch and refreshments throughout the day.
